XU opener on ESPN2
Enquirer staff and news services
Xavier University's 2002-03 men's basketball schedule was finalized Monday with the inclusion of the Atlantic 10 Conference games.
ESPN2 also picked up the season opener against St. Peter's in the Preseason NIT on Nov. 18 at the Cintas Center. That brings XU's guaranteed number of national TV games to seven, which could increase to 11 depending on how far the Musketeers advance in the PNIT and the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
The complete regional TV package on Fox Sports Net will be announced in the future. That includes 10 games. Six games will also be televised on the A-10 Network.
Approximately 150 season-ticket packages are still available, starting at $212 each. Less than 100 six-pack ticket packages are left for games against Purdue, Ball State, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Duquesne and George Washington. Those start at $96 each.
Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.
NKU WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Norse (6-0) vaulted from No. 3 to No. 1 nationally in Division II after Sunday's 1-0 victory against previously top-ranked Christian Brothers.
NKU, seeking its fourth consecutive trip to the Final Four, spent five weeks at No. 1 last season.
