Chelsea Chowning, a 6-foot senior at Lexington Catholic High, has orally committed to play basketball for Xavier next season. She averaged 17 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.4 steals during her junior season.

        She was named MVP of the Kentucky state tournament her sophomore season when Lexington Catholic won the state title.
