Women: George Washington 61, Xavier 58

Enquirer staff and news services

WASHINGTON — A poor shooting second half foiled Xavier's upset bid at the Smith Center.

The Musketeers shot just 19.2 percent in the second half (5-for-26), allowing the Colonials to rally from a 10-point deficit.

The Colonials (19-6) remained undefeated in 14 conference games. The Musketeers fell to 9-17 overall and 4-10 in league play.

Xavier's Amy Waugh scored 25 points. She also had three assists, making her the fourth player in Xavier history to record 400 career assists.
