PHILADELPHIA — Jennifer Phillips had 22 points as No. 12 Xavier advanced to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament Saturday with an 86-64 victory over Massachusetts.

The Musketeers meet Dayton at 2 p.m. today.

Jennifer Parr scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, Taru Tuukkanen added 14 and Reetta Piipari had 10 assists for the regular-season champion Musketeers (26-2), who have won 16 in a row.

Jennifer Butler scored 20 points, Kathy Coyner had 15 points and matched a season-high with nine assists and Amber Sneed added 11 points for the eighth-seeded Minutewomen (12-17), who lost five of the last six to finish the season.

Massachusetts hung around in the early stages of the game and trailed by one, 44-43, when Paige Harris sank a 3-pointer with 14:58 left. But Xavier then went on a 15-5 run to pull ahead by 11. Piipari and Nicole Levandusky each had five points during the spurt, which was capped by a 3-pointer by Parr.

Xavier was 26-for-44 (59 percent) from the field, including 8-for-16 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Minutewomen struggled from the field, making just 25-of-68 (37 percent).
