Waugh makes season debut
Xavier's Amy Waugh, last season's Atlantic 10 rookie of the year, made her first appearance of the season Thursday night after missing Xavier's first 19 games while rehabbing a ruptured Achilles' tendon.
She played 18 minutes, was 1-of-3 for three points and had three assists.
Coach Melanie Balcomb said the decision to play her was made during the pregame shootaround.
Amy'll give our guards some relief off the bench, Balcomb said. She'll come in and be a role player.
