Xavier junior Kevin Frey, bothered the past two weeks by pain in his left ankle, learned he has two bone spurs which will need to be removed after the season.

        “It hurts, but I'll have to live with it,” he said.

        WILLIAMS UPDATE: Prosser is nearing a decision on the future of XU signee Jaison Williams, who was kicked off his Aurora (Colo.) Hinkley team last week. He had lengthy conversations Sunday night with Williams and Hinkley coach Dan Jarvis.

        “I'm still evaluating the situation,” Prosser said.

        He is waiting to talk to XU athletic director Mike Bobinski, who was to return late Monday night from NCAA meetings.
