Xavier women favored to win division




        The Xavier women's basketball team was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Atlantic 10 Conference West Division in voting by the coaches. The Musketeers received seven of 12 first-place votes.

        George Washington is picked to finish second in the West with three first-place votes, and Virginia Tech third with two first-place votes. St. Joseph's is a unanimous pick to win the East.

        Xavier junior Jennifer Phillips was selected first-team all-conference, and junior Nicole Levandusky was picked to the second team. Freshman Amy Waugh is on the All-Rookie Team.
