Kremer wins Xavier's top award




        Two local women were among the Xavier basketball players honored Monday night at the team's annual postseason banquet at The Gregory Centre.

        Senior Nikki Kremer (Mother of Mercy) won the “Whatever it Takes” Award, and senior Jonelle Riley (Lakota) was honored as best defensive player.

        Junior Kim Hotz received the Scholar-Athlete award, and freshman Katie Griggs was the most improved player.

        The Musketeers finished 24-9 and earned their second NCAA Tournament berth.
