John Smith, a 6-8 forward from South Charleston, W. Va., canceled his recruiting visit to Xavier on Monday and orally committed to attend Virginia Tech, which plays in the Atlantic 10 West with the Musketeers.

John Oden from Phoenix is scheduled to visit this weekend.
