Outlook: Purcell hopes the momentum earned from a youth movement that produced a 4-1 finish in the second half of last season will carry over into 1999. The Cavaliers became more of a passing team, a trend that will continue this year, with key operatives in junior QB Adam White, RB Jeff Taylor, TE Doug Swann and WRs Jaime Cooper and Brandon Elliott. All five starters were lost on the offensive line, so that is an area of concern. All-GCL outside linebacker Joe Fullman returns to the defense, as does starters DE Mike Wright, CB Vince Berry and Cooper, who doubles on defense at free safety.
