Outlook: With seven offense and seven defensive starters back, the Thunderhawks will field a team capable of winning every game.
''The key will be determined by how well the seniors step up as leaders,'' coach Greg Bailie said. ''Our roster is loaded with sophomores but that's alright if the seniors reach out and grab control of the team.''
Experience at the quarterback position will be one of the strengths with three-year starter Mike Kohler directing an offense that lacks a proven running back.
However, senior receiver Barrett Johnson is back with Jim Steger, Matt Amedro, Jed Eliason, Heath Stephens and Mike Bush contending for starting positions.
''The past two seasons, the offense has been poor,'' Bailie said. ''At any level, the offense must be able to control the tempo. Our offense must improve and develop the necessary consistency.''
The line will be the Thunderhawks strength on defense with returning starters Tony Rahlf, Bobby Mullins, Travis Small and Erik Jones the key players.
