Coach: Mike Corson (5-6)
Outlook: The Camels bloomed late in their first season under Corson, reaching the playoffs and playing well in a narrow loss at eventual state runner-up Lexington Tates Creek. With just five starters back on offense and only two on defense, going a step further in the playoffs this fall could be tough.
''The attitude of our athletes is very positive, senior leadership is good, and these two things should aid our development of a very young team,'' Corson said.
Two key cogs will start the offensive attack: sophomore tailback Kip Mason and junior QB Mike Piccirillo. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound Mason is small but slippery; he ran for 573 yards (4.3 avg.) in limited duties last year.
Senior running back Shaun Caudill suffered torn ligaments in his ankle and could miss the first 2-3 weeks of the season.
