Man sentenced to one year for horse theft

Steven Hall, 26, of Camden, Ohio, was sentenced to one year in prison today for a Thanksgiving horse theft in Goshen Township.

Clermont County Common Pleas Judge William Walker also ordered Hall to repay more than $600 in restitution to the owners of the horses.

Hall admitted to prosecutors that he stole the horses and tried to sell them at auction. He pleaded guilty in February to two counts of theft.

The horses were recovered and returned to their owners.

Hall also was indicted in Warren County on Monday on similar charges stemming from the theft of two horses there late last year.
