This photograph was shot the day after the tornado hit Montgomery. Authorities hasn't let residents back into their homes since the disaster hit, so I got there early to photograph residents salvaging. This man kept pacing in front of his house, looking bewildered. I had never seen anything like this before: The neighborhood looked like an atomic bomb had hit it. 1999
