The Associated Press

BEREA, Ky. - A former treasurer of the Berea Youth Football League has been charged with theft for allegedly misusing its funds.

Billy G. Harris, 32, of Richmond was charged Thursday with six felony counts and seven misdemeanor counts of theft by deception, said Berea Police Detective Harold Hill. He would not say how much money was involved.

Each felony count would involve amounts of $300 or more and each misdemeanor count would involve amounts less than $300. Hill said the alleged misappropriations occurred over three months.
