Sycamore gift shop adds space for home decor items

Village Junction, the Sycamore Township gift shop known for its Vera Bradley selections and Radko ornaments, has doubled its selling space and added more home decor items as well as Thymes personal care products and gourmet foods. There will be a ribbon cutting 9:15 a.m. Monday. During the coming week, the store will have presentations from product representatives and gift drawings. T.J. Maxx Italia: To get ready for fall, T.J. Maxx begins an Italian leather promotion beginning Sunday spotlighting handbags, wraps and scarves, hats, gloves and belts from Italy as well as boots.

Envy anniversary: Envy in Hyde Park marks its two-year anniversary with a trunk show 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday of Siena leather and suede. At Observatory Avenue and Edwards Road. Information: 321-3207.

Elder-Beerman babies: Elder-Beerman will launch a Special Delivery baby gift registry Monday. Those registering Sept. 18-23 get a free chenille teddy bear. Customers can call (800) 233-7626 to place an order.

Hickey Freeman trunk show for men: Hunt Club Clothiers will have a Hickey Freeman custom shirt and clothing trunk show 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. next Tuesday-Sept. 18 at its downtown store, 46 Fountain Square Plaza. Information: 721-2004.

Fashion show: Dress for Success, the program to outfit low-income women trying to get jobs, will benefit from the Women on the Move 2003 fashion show 11:30 a.m. Sept. 25 at the Westin Hotel, downtown. Japanese tailoring: A class on Japanese tailoring is planned for 6:30-9 p.m. Sept. 19 at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College in Batavia, followed by a construction class 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Waycross Media in Forest Park.
