As a new theater season begins, let us now praise leading ladies and fine work from last season

Tonight we'll have fireworks along the riverfront. Starting Tuesday, the hoopla moves indoors and onto Cincinnati stages.
But before the 2003-04 area theater season begins, we celebrate the best of last season with the annual Enquirer Theater Awards (the Jackies) and catch up with leading ladies - some of whom won Jackies - and others who will be taking center stage in the new season.
Women figure prominently in what you will be seeing this fall, so we got a group together and asked them about themselves, their roles - and some really important stuff, like shoes.
