Kentucky obituaries



The Kentucky Enquirer publishes obituaries of residents in Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties as a free service. Obituaries are published based on available space each day and may be held until space is available. Information is accepted from funeral homes 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Boone County

Patricia Ann Queor

FLORENCE - Patricia Ann Queor, 64, a homemaker, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Covington.

Her husband, Fred, died in 1977.

Surviving are her parents, Franklin and Margaret Lockwood of Daytona Beach, Fla., and a sister, Starr Lockwood of Lakeside Park.

A memorial service has been held. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.

Cynthia Bowlin

WALTON - Cynthia Pecoraro Bowlin, 39, a hairstylist for Illusions in Crestview Hills, died Wednesday at University Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati.

She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona.

Surviving are her husband, Kerry; three daughters, Jessica Morse, Brittany Bowlin and Bailey Bowlin, all of Walton; two sons, Ricky Morse of Hammond, La., and Brandon Bowlin of Walton; two sisters, Tracy Johnson of Baton Rouge, La., and Lisa Pecoraro of Hammond, La.; a brother, Anthony Pecoraro of Hammond, La.; parents, Anthony Pecoraro and Janie Domingus, both of Hammond, La.; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. todayat Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Service will be 2 p.m. Sundayat First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 S. Main St. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.

Betty J. Bowman

WALTON - Betty Jane Rich Bowman, 76, a retired sales clerk for Pogue's Department Stores, died Tuesday at her home.

Her husband, Henry, died in 1972.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Dearing of Florence, Ruth Pelfrey of Union, and Darlene Mason of Walton; two sons, Larry of Union and Rick of Latonia; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. and service 11 a.m. todayat Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Fort Mitchell.

Memorials: Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, KY 41075.

Campbell County

James E. Sparks

FORT THOMAS - James Ellis Sparks, 69, formerly of Covington, and of Dover, Tenn., a retired self-employed recycler, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital in Fort Thomas.

Surviving are two daughters, Charla Messer of Covington and Kellie Tucker of Dover, Tenn.; a son, Gary Ratliff of Newport; a sister, Charla Sparks of Silver Spring, Md., and 12 grandchildren.

No public service. The body will be cremated. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Covington is handling arrangements.

Ronald J. Stoudt

NEWPORT - Ronald J. Stoudt, 55, a retired registered nurse for Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cincinnati, and a Vietnam War Army veteran, died July 29 at Veterans Affairs Nursing Home in Fort Thomas.

Surviving are two nephews, John and Thomas Stoudt, both of Dayton, Ohio.

Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. today at Holy Spirit Parish Church, 825 Washington St., Newport. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.

Memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.

Grant County

Tanya Conrad

DRY RIDGE - Tanya Powers Conrad, 55, a secretary for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, died Sunday at her home.

Surviving are her husband, William Clifton "Bubby" Conrad; a son, Larry Gayle Mann of Louisville; a daughter, Kandi Jo Follis of Naples, Fla.; her mother, Dorothy Taylor Powers of Williamstown; a brother, Richey Powers of Lexington; a sister, Georganne Burke of Carpinteria, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. and service 2 p.m. todayat Williamstown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown is handling arrangements.

Robert M. Schulte

DRY RIDGE - Robert M. Schulte, 77, a union electrician, and a World War II Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Yorktown, died Thursday at his home.

He was a member of the U.S.S. Yorktown CV-10 Association, and of the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his wife, Jewel Burgess Schulte; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sundayand service 11 a.m. Mondayat Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright.

Memorials: U.S.S. Yorktown CV-10 Association, care of Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Williamstown, KY 41097.

Kenton County

Helen Jackson

FORT WRIGHT - Helen Mary Currin Jackson, 87, a retired clerk for the Internal Revenue Service, died Monday at St. Charles Care Center in Covington.

She was a member of St. Gertrude the Great Roman Catholic Church in Sharonville, and of the Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky.

Her first husband, Cornelius "Murph" Currin, died in 1969.

Surviving are her second husband, John Jackson; two sons, Tom Currin of Edgewood and Richard Currin of Fort Wright; two sisters, Ruth Dirheimer of Florence and Martha Nipper of Cincinnati; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sundayat St. Charles Care Center Chapel in Covington. A Requiem Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Mondayat St. Gertrude the Great Roman Catholic Church in Sharonville. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Covington. Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia in charge.

Memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.

Walter F. Gill

INDEPENDENCE - Walter F. Gill, 73, an employee for the Liberty Cherry Co. in Latonia for 45 years, and a Korean War Army veteran, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.

He was an employee for the Kenton County Golf Course for the past six years, and was a member of Kenton Baptist Church.

Surviving his wife, Virginia Gill of Independence; and a son, Randall of Warren, Mich.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon and service noon todayat Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Independence. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.

Memorials: Beechgrove Baptist Church, 450 Independence Station Road, Independence, KY 41051.
