Sam Walton: Made in America: My Story, by Sam Walton, John Huey, contributor, Doubleday; $26.50

"Right now I'm about one-fourth through the autobiography of Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. As I read, I'm trying to apply it to my business. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in customer service and growing a small business. It is very inspirational to read about how he dealt with the roadblocks he ran into and didn't give up. He realized he couldn't do it all himself, so he built a team. That gave him more time to be creative. Kind of like myself."

The All New Captain Underpants Extra Crunchy Book O' Fun 2 by Dav Pilkey, Scholastic/Blue Sky Press; $3.99.

"I got it last year at a bookstore and haven't really read it much until now. At the end it has stuff to play and there is a crossword and all that kind of stuff. I've read the rest of the Captain Underpants books. They are kind of like kids doing it because of sloppy handwriting. I have kind of sloppy handwriting, too. There's tons of stories in it. There is like these three lunch ladies at school and they are trying to kill Captain Underpants."
