Just In

For the plastic wrap-challenged, Glad has introduced Press 'n Seal - a more study wrap with a sticky side that adheres easily and securely to all kinds of surfaces, including paper, foam, metal and wood. About $2.99 per 75-square-foot roll.

What Is This?

Greater Cincinnati is one of few markets outside California to receive shipments of Scarlet Red Sweet Corn, a new variety with red kernels. The California company that developed it bred sweet corn with a variety of red popcorn to achieve the eye-catching blush shade. Scientists hope the blush color will add antioxidants to the corn, which may help fight cancer and other diseases. Scarlet Red Sweet Corn should be available in area Bigg's and IGA stores, and Wild Oats Market in Rookwood Commons.

Hot Date

Tickets are $65 for members; $75 for guests. Reservations: 241-4455.

Cool Stuff We've Made On A George Foreman Grill

Stuff chunks of Monterey Jack cheese and a few canned mushrooms between two thin patties of ground chuck. Seal edges of burgers and grill on George Foreman 10 to 15 minutes, or until done. Microwave more mushrooms with a little soy sauce and/or vinaigrette dressing for a few minutes and add sauce to top of burgers.
