Ensemble Theatre has announced several changes in its season lineup:
Holiday show The Prince and the Pauper will be replaced by a revival of Alice in Wonderland. World-premiere musical Prairie Spring: The Story of the Orphan Train will move to the 2004-05 season. Its slot will be filled by The Women of Lockerbie, based on the aftermath of the crash of Pan Am Flight 103 in Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988.
The new main stage schedule: Nite Club Confidential, Sept. 2-21; Blue/Orange, Oct. 8-26; Alice in Wonderland, Dec. 3-28; A Lesson Before Dying, Jan. 28-Feb 15; The Women of Lockerbie, March 17-April 4; Stones in His Pockets, April 28-May 16.
The schedule for Off-Center/On-Stage is: Cuttings by local playwright Thomas Atkinson, Oct. 30-Nov. 1; Breath, Boom, Feb. 19-28; River of Freedom by local team Janet Vogt and Mark Friedman, April 15-17; Intern Showcase, May 20-22.
The Theatre of the Mind play-reading lineup is: Campaign, Sept. 15; Black, White and Gray by Luther Goins, Oct. 20; a TBA production by Kia Corthron, Feb. 23; No Traveller Returns by Robert Lewis Vaughan, March 29.
Two additional readings including collaboration with Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative will be announced later.
