Lara Croft contest: In preparation for the release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life and the arrival of the Tomb Raider stunt show Tuesday at Paramount's Kings Island, the park is holding a Lara Croft Look-alike Contest with a grand prize of two tickets to the Los Angeles premiere screening, two round-trip coach airline tickets and one night hotel accommodations. Contestants can e-mail entries with a photo as Lara Croft to email@example.com. Include name, complete street address, e-mail address, daytime phone number, date of birth and where you heard about contest. Deadline for entries is Friday.
Finalists will be invited to a parade of finalists Tuesday at Kings Island, where the winner will be announced. For more information, call 754-5700.
Tardy tickets: Oops, say the folks at New Voice Theater, who promised that tickets for an Aug. 11 concert performance of Gospel According to Fishman would go on sale Monday at the Aronoff Center box office. Plans for the Richard Oberacker-Michael Lazar musical are going along better than plans for ticket sales. An on-sale date remains murky. Watch for an update or call the box office at 621-2787 for information.
Future filmmakers: A new filmmaking camp designed for high school students is scheduled to take place July 28-Aug. 1 at Cincinnati Christian Academy.
The five-day Compass Academy program covers a chance to create a short video and to explore the spiritual impact of film.
Tuition is $579. For application forms or more details, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
