Bond Hill firm to open N.C. plant

A packaging company based in Bond Hill plans to hire 150 to 200 people within the next year at a new plant outside Reidsville, N.C., the company said Tuesday.

Quality Associates Inc. of Cincinnati intends to begin operating Oct. 1 in the building formerly occupied by VF Corp.

The company has a contract to package some products of Procter & Gamble Co., also of Cincinnati. P&G has a plant in Browns Summit near Reidsville that manufactures cosmetics and toiletries.

The company was still negotiating with Rockingham County about the details of an incentive package, said Heather Leavitt, a vice president at the partnership.
