America's Next Top Model wasn't Franklin Township's Shannon Stewart, because she was too wholesome looking for UPN judges.
Stewart, 19, a 2002 Franklin High School graduate, placed second in Tuesday's national TV modeling competition to Adrianne Curry, 21, a waitress from Joliet, Ill.
Executive producer Tyra Banks and her panel of judges liked Curry's "edgier" look over Stewart, the blonde former varsity basketball and volleyball player.
During the show, taped in February, Banks described Stewart as "all warm and fuzzy and All-American ... and innocent."
Stewart told the Enquirer on Monday she will "most definitely" pursue modeling full time.
"I have learned so much. ... It was a splendid experience, a once-in-a-lifetime experience," she said.
Curry won contracts with Revlon and the Wilhemina Models agency, and a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine.
