Enquirer staff

Greater-Cincinnati area tennis players have a few days to enter the 57th annual Thomas E. Price Metropolitan Tennis Tournament at Lunken Playfield July 9-20.

Tournament director Karen Montavan said singles and doubles players can register until July 3. The tournament is open to anyone 16 and older living in the Cincinnati area. Cost is $25 per person or $30 per doubles team.

Entrants can register and pay by credit card by calling 352-4020 or 321-1772. Interested players also can drop off a check at Lunken or mail a check to the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (www.cincyrec.org) , 805 Central Ave., Cincinnati, 45202.

Last year the tournament drew 120 men's singles players and 58 men's doubles teams. Twenty-eight women's singles players competed, and 16 women's doubles teams.
