OCTAFEST good window into community theater



The best way to break into community theater might just be checking out OCTAFEST on Friday and Saturday.

Hundreds of community theater folks (and family, friends and fans) will convene at Parrish Auditorium on the Hamilton campus of Miami University (1201 Peck Blvd.) for the annual play showcase for the southwest region of the Ohio Community Theatre Association and awards ceremony for community theater member association ACT of Greater Cincinnati.

Friday, beginning at 7:30 p.m.: Drama Workshop, Sunset Players, Showbiz Players, Milford Theatre Guild, Falcon Productions

Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.: Loveland Stage Company, Mason Community Players, Footlighters, Stagecrafters. (Lunch Break) Beginning at 1 p.m.: Village Players, Wyoming Players, Mariemont Players, Beechmont Players, Tri-County Players, Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre
