Temp service opens Norwood office

Jason Rinsky has opened an Ultimate Staffing Services franchise in Norwood. He contracted in April with the California-based company for exclusive rights to develop the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market.

"The mission, vision and values at Ultimate Staffing . . . ideally align with my own view on business," said Rinsky, who has 12 years' experience in management, recruiting and hiring.

Initially, the company will place temporary staff on short- and long-term assignments with small-to-medium sized companies.

Ultimate Staffing was founded in 1994 and specializes in clerical, administrative, call center, logistics and light industrial staffing. In 1999 it was named by Inc. magazine as the fastest-growing privately held company in America.

The new office, which opened June 2, is at 3930 Edwards Road. Information: 731-5705.

Excellence awards go to 4 area groups

Four area organizations have received the Ohio Award for Excellence, the state's top honor recognizing the positive impact of quality processes within non-profit and for-profit organizations.

Earning the Governor's Award for Excellence - given only to those who exhibit "world class" processes and serve as role models for others - is University of Cincinnati's Administrative and Business Services Division.

Three Tristate organizations ranked among the "Commitment to Excellence" winners. They are Middletown-based Abilities First, Cincinnati's Fifth Third Bank and Skilled Care Pharmacy, based in Mason.

The Ohio Award for Excellence is a not-for-profit organization with 80 council members who represent business, education, health care, government and not-for-profit sectors. It maintains a board of 150 examiners who evaluate applications, provide feedback to applicants and make award recommendations to the board of trustees.

It is patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Criteria cover areas of leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, information and analysis, workforce development, process management and results achieved. Award recipients will be recognized in September in Columbus.
