MADISON TOWNSHIP - Six people remained hospitalized Saturday night after a Friday crash on Ohio 122. Matthew E. Blanton, 41, of Middletown was airlifted to University Hospital and was in critical condition.
Blanton was traveling eastbound on Ohio 122 about 8:40 p.m. Friday when his Chevrolet Blazer hit a car traveling on Elk Creek Road that had failed to stop at a stop sign, the Butler County Sheriff's Office said.
The car's driver, Jennifer Lavender, 19, of Hamilton, was airlifted to University Hospital, where she is in critical condition. Her passenger, Alex Lavender of Hamilton, was airlifted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. His condition was not released. Blanton's passengers, Chrystal Little of Hamilton, Betty Blanton of Middletown and Lucill Hurst of Eaton, were in fair condition at Middletown Regional Hospital.
