Congrats



Hinkle wins nursing award

Holly Hinkle is the recipient of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing's National Speaking of Women's Health Scholarship for a women's health graduate.

Hinkle, a graduate of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing, has worked as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Luke Hospital West and Dearborn County Hospital. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University before enrolling in UC's graduate school.

Fink a top cop

The Kevin Crayon Memorial Award, established by the College Hill Forum, was presented to Sgt. David Fink of Cincinnati Police District 5 for his outstanding service to College Hill. He has been the supervisor of the District 5 Neighborhood Squad since 1997.

Towers selected

Kathleen Towers of West Chester Township has been selected to attend the University of Florida Student Science Training Program. She is a sophomore at Ursuline Academy.

The seven-week residential participation program provides science and engineering research opportunities. Students also attend lectures, demonstrations, field trips, discussions and seminars on contemporary issues in science.

Airmen graduate

These airmen have graduated military training from Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:

Nicholas Scott, a Princeton High School graduate and son of Barbara and Charles Scott of Sharonville; Allison Arnold, Oak Hills High School graduate and daughter of Larry Arnold of Delhi Township; Joshua Bard, Mount Healthy High School graduate and son of JoBeth and Rick Bard of Colerain Township; Christopher Miller, Turpin High School graduate and son of Margaret and Robert Champion of Anderson Township; Shara Payne, Walnut Hills High School graduate and daughter of Shirley Payne of the West End; and Matthew Cooper, a Western Hills High School graduate.
