Airport extends free parking time

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is allowing more time to pick up or drop off passengers for free.

The airport Wednesday said it would extend the free parking time in the garage adjacent to the terminals to the first 30 minutes from the previous limit of 10 minutes.

Airport officials said the change was made to make it easier and less expensive for pickups and dropoffs, which can get longer due to security concerns. Those measures now say that someone waiting for a passenger cannot wait by the curb and must either drive around or park in the garage.

The airport is also looking to fill an additional 1,700 spaces created during the recent expansion of the garage.
