Ky. Wesleyan president to step down

The Associated Press

OWENSBORO, Ky. - The president of Kentucky Wesleyan College says he'll step down from his position next year.

Dr. Wesley H. Poling made the announcement to the board of trustees on Friday.

His term will end June 30, 2004.

Poling became president of the college in western Kentucky in 1994.

"That is sufficient time for anyone to lead one institution," Poling said.

Members of the board said they will begin an immediate search for Poling's successor.
