Student Film Fest: Wright State University's annual Big Lens Film Festival, featuring short works by WSU students, returns for its 12th year today at 7 p.m. at the Dayton Art Institute.
Among the six films being shown is High Weeds, a whimsical tale about Bigfoot and his podiatrist, written and shot by Delhi Township native Jaime Meyers. It stars Cincinnati native Kristin Burkhead. Admission is $6; parking is free. For directions, call (937) 223-5277.

Summerfair: Look for more than 300 artists and craftspeople at the 36th annual arts festival starting 2-8 p.m. Friday and continuing 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Children's CD: Take the kids to a show Sunday, as nationally known, locally based children's performer Zak Morgan holds his CD release party/concert at the 20th Century in Oakley at 1 p.m. Admission is $5. Just compare the current Billboard's Hot 100 list with the one from five years ago, when there was one such song in the top 10. Last year, two of the top 10 were recorded by multiple artists.
