Wyclef Jean has found a new recording home at J Records.
The Grammy-winning singer-producer will make his debut on the label this fall with the album Preacher's Son.
"Wyclef is one of those rare cutting-edge artists who define an era," said Clive Davis, chairman of J Records. Davis worked with Jean to help create hits for Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston and others.
Jean, who first gained fame as a member of the hip-hop group the Fugees, already had a deal to produce artists for J Records.
