Two store employees were shot Thursday in a bold daylight robbery attempt at a convenience store in Walnut Hills.
The shooting occurred about 4:50 p.m. at the Dairy Market at 1110 E. McMillan St. after a man entered the store and approached the counter, said Cincinnati Police Detective Brett Gleckler. The man fired at least two shots before fleeing, he said.
The two male employees, who were not identified, were treated at University Hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. One was shot in the leg and one in the neck. Their conditions were not available.
Investigators did not know if the would-be robber obtained any cash.
There was one customer in the store, but she left before officers arrived. "We're looking for a white female customer" with blond hair, Gleckler said.
The shooter fled on foot, running north through the store parking lot. He wasdescribed a black male in his mid-twenties, 6-foot, 160-170 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
