Last minute

Legal night out: Lawyers, jurists, law students and film buffs are invited to the Mariemont Theatre, 6906 Wooster Pike, tonight for the first in a new movie series. "Reel Justice" focuses on features that deal with the legal system.

The premiere feature is Anatomy of a Murder (1959), starring Jimmy Stewart, Lee Remick and Ben Gazzara.

Showtime is 7:15 p.m. After the movie, "Reel Justice" organizer (and appellate court judge) Howard Sundermann will lead a discussion at the Latin Quarter restaurant next door. $6. 272-0222.

Concerts on sale

New zoo series: A host of pop and soul music veterans will bring a summer music series back to Cincinnati Zoo for the first time in six years.

"Wild Nights at the Zoo," a partnership between the zoo and WCIN-AM, kicks off June 2 with Etta James and the Blind Boys of Alabama ($50 pavilion; $40 lawn, at Ticketmaster). Ticket prices and dates of sale for the rest of the series have not been announced.

June 29, Michael McDonald and the Neville Brothers perform. July 5, the Temptations do an Independence Weekend show. Aug. 30, Erich Kunzel & the Cincinnati Pops close out the series.

A June 30 concert will feature an R&B headliner TBA; July 27, will be a country show, headliner TBA.

Concerts will be held in the 3,000-capacity Safari Pavilion.

Award winner: William McGraw, professor of voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, has won an Ovation Award from VocalNet, a statewide organization that promotes the vocal arts. McGraw is recognized for his students who perform in major opera houses and teach, and for his own concertizing with major orchestras, including the Cincinnati Symphony and May Festival.
