When Tim and April Matteson looked online to find ways to spice up their marriage, they were shocked by the near-pornographic nature of the Web sites they found. The Oregon-based pastors decided to start their own company to sell intimacy-related material in a more respectful way and to "keep romance alive in marriages."

Donate an Hour

LifeCenter, the Tristate's nonprofit organ recovery agency, has an unusual campaign called Donate an Hour. Tristate residents and local employees are encouraged to donate an hour of their salary to LifeCenter to help increase organ donation through public education.

This year's goal is to raise $50,000, receive 2,500 returned pledge cards, and inform 100,000 people of the great need for organ donation.

Did you know you can get sunburned on a cloudy day? More than one million new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed every year, according to the Sun Safety Alliance. In fact, they contend a child's sunburned blister doubles the chance of skin cancer in his or her lifetime.
