NFL star Alexander hosts benefit

Enquirer staff, wire reports

The Shaun Alexander Family Foundation will stage a benefit banquet May 7 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center both to honor high school coaching legend Owen Hauck and raise money for The Point, a Northern Kentucky foundation that assists those with developmental disabilities.

Alexander, a Boone County graduate and Seattle Seahawks running back, will speak at the banquet. Also expected to appear are former Bengals Cris Collinsworth and Dave Lapham and WLW-AM anchor Andy Furman.

Hauck will be recognized for his 45-year career coaching football with stops at Highlands, Mount Healthy, Boone County and the University of Cincinnati.

For tickets or information, call (859) 344-6100.
