Rome tour tickets available Friday

The first batches of free tickets to Jim Rome's Cincinnati tour stop (May 10 at Xavier's Cintas Center) will be available Friday.

Locations distributing tickets: Columbia Hyundai, 10981 Montgomery Road (8 a.m.); Superior Hyundai North, 5665 Dixie Highway, Fairfield (9:45 a.m.); Superior Hyundai, 238 W. Mitchell Ave. (11:45 a.m.); Kerry Nissan-Mazda-Hyundai, 8053 Burlington Pike, Florence (2 p.m.); Kerry Chevrolet-Hyundai, 7500 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria (3:45 p.m.).

There will be 150 tickets available at each location. Each person can get two. There will be more "ticket drops" for the event, which will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will last about 90 minutes. A tailgate party outside Cintas Center is scheduled for 9 a.m.

It will be the 30th stop for the AutoZone Jim Rome World Tour. Rome's nationally syndicated sports talk radio show airs on WCKY-AM (1360) from noon to 3 p.m. weekdays.

"We've been working on (getting a tour stop) for two years," said Steve Versnick, WCKY program director. "We're expecting to pack the place."

Cintas Center will hold about 10,000 for the event, Versnick said. He is trying to line up celebrities; only former Bengal and Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz has confirmed so far.
