Nothing says home like chili
There's nothing like a little chili in the Iraqi desert to warm a soldier's heart. And on Saturday, people who plan to send a serviceman or servicewoman a care package can stop at any Gold Star Chili restaurant in the Tristate and pick up a free can of chili during the restaurants' normal business hours.
Gold Star restaurants also are collecting the names and addresses of military personnel to send them "a special Cincinnati-style greeting of its own," said Gold Star spokeswoman Susan McDonald.
