Boone County

Nora McKean

FLORENCE - Nora McKean of Florence died Friday at St. Luke Hospital West. The homemaker was 79.

Surviving are her husband, Harry McKean of Florence; two sons, Allen and Michael, both of Florence; two daughters, Charlotte Pursley of Independence and Janet Ritchie of Florence; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Stith Funeral Home, Florence.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.

James H. Beemon

BURLINGTON - James H. Beemon of Burlington died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. The retired warehouse worker was 75.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Delores Beemon, in 1964, and Dorothy Beemon, in 1981; two sons, John and George; and a daughter, Betty Jane Beemon.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Beemon of Burlington; a son, James Beemon of Colerain Township; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Blakley of Union; two stepsons, Scott Rieselman of Edgewood, and Edward Rieselman of Middletown; a brother, Donald Beemon of Crittenden; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lena Adeline "Ann" Martin

BURLINGTON - Lena Adeline "Ann" Martin of Burlington died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Covington. The retired beautician was 78.

Surviving are her husband, Cletus "Pete" Martin of Burlington; two daughters, Nancy Mitchell of Burlington, and Cleta Vining of Milford; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. today at the Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Services will follow. Burial will be in Crittenden Cemetery.

Rosemary Rita Schmitz

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS - Rosemary Rita Schmitz of Highland Heights died Friday at Northern Kentucky Care and Rehabilitation Center. The homemaker was 77.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Schmitz, in 1998.

Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Siebert of Alexandria; a son, Ronald Schmitz of Claryville; a sister, Mary Ann Koeninger of Cold Spring; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.

William Turner

ERLANGER - William Turner of Erlanger died Friday at his residence. The former mechanic was 63.

His wife, Rita Turner, preceded him in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Shana and Linda, both of Erlanger, and Patty of Florence; two sons, Billy of Hebron and Michael of Latonia; three sisters, Sharon Robinson of Owenton, Karen Turner of Hebron, and Jody Schneider of Florence; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in San Run Baptist Cemetery, Hebron.

Delores S. Thompson

COVINGTON - Delores S. Thompson of Covington died March 21 at St. Charles Care Center. The co-founder of Thompson and Boerger Insurance was 89.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, in 1998.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Boerger of Villa Hills; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Mass of Christian burial will follow. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery.

Charles T. Robinson

LATONIA - Charles T. Robinson of Oakland Park, Fla., died Friday at his residence. The retired manager of Stouffer's Hotel in Fort Lauderdale was 72.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Faye Stevens Robinson of Oakland Park, Fla.; three daughters, Betty Robinson of Dorchester, Maine, Ellie Lowry of Florence, and Beverly Carpenter of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, Tony Robinson of Kenton Vale; two brothers, Herbert Becker of Nancy, and Tom Robinson of Latonia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Connely Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.

Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Tuesday at Holy Cross Church, Latonia. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.

James Lowell Beighle

MORNING VIEW - James Lowell Beighle of Morning View died Thursday at Northern Kentucky Care & Rehabilitation Center in Highland Heights.

The retired equipment operator for the Kenton County Highway Department was 85.

He was preceded in death by his wives, June Beighle, in 1973, and Pearl Beighle in 2001.

Surviving are a son, Bobby Beighle of Morning View; a sister, Esther Condin of Florida; two brothers, Wilfred Beighle of Piner, and Lawrence Beighle of Okeechobee, Fla.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Services will follow.

Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Bettye Howard Hayes Bailey

FORT WRIGHT - Bettye Howard Hayes Bailey of Fort Wright died Friday at her residence. The retired legal secretary was 73.

Surviving are two daughters, Lea Beth Bailey of Fort Wright and Katherine Bailey Mulloy of Kansas City, Kansas; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Covington.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.

Virginia Fitterer

COVINGTON - Virginia Fitterer of Covington died Thursday at Northern Kentucky Care and Rehabilitation Center in Highland Heights. The retired factory worker was 82.

Her husband, Walter Fitterer, preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Sally Moore of Covington; a son, William Kinman of Edgewood; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Floral Hills Cemetery chapel, Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
