Cyclones lose shootout

The Wheeling Nailers snapped the three-game winning streak of the Cincinnati Cyclones with a 6-5 shootout win on Tuesday at U.S. Bank Arena.

Wheeling built a 4-2 lead after two periods, but the Cyclones rallied with three third-period goals to tie the score at 5-5 and force overtime.

The Cyclones close the home portion of the 2002-03 regular-season schedule against the Dayton Bombers at 7:05 p.m. today.
