Formal shows: Bridal and Formal in Reading will have an Alyce prom gown truck show and a Vera Wang and Fenaroli Regalia bridal show Friday through Sunday at the 300 W. Benson St. shop. Information: 821-6622.

Clean closets for a cause: Dress for Success is collecting gently worn prom gowns through March to be sold through its Fourth Street Boutique thrift store that benefits the program that provides work clothes for low-income women seeking job interviews. Call 651-3372 for drop-off information at the store, 135 W. Fourth St.

In addition, Dress Barn stores will serve as collection points Sunday through March 22 for gently worn interview-appropriate suits or separates donated to Dress for Success. Dress Barn stores will give a $10 certificate for a future purchase to those donating. And those making a purchase at Dress Barn can get a Clean Your Closet Week bag for donations. The bag can be filled with store merchandise that will be discounted 15 percent. Details at stores.

Men's trunk show: Mike and Carol Trotta will have a spring men's trunk show 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday with suits from Ermenegildo Zegna, Reda and Barberis, as well as shirtings from Ferno of Italy and leather outerwear from Longhi. 406 Walnut St., downtown. Information: 621-2930.

Bra fitting: Bali, the bra and shapewear people, say 70 percent of women wear the wrong bra size. To get women in the right size, the company is aiming to fit 100,000 properly by the end of 2003. Their "certified fit consultants" will be at Lazarus Tri-County store 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday and at Lazarus in Kenwood Towne Centre, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday. Women can register for a 15-minute fitting at www.balicompany.com or by calling Lazarus.

Gap pink: Whether it's the never-ending winter or the seriousness of world events, shoppers are turning to bright colors, including pick-me-up pink. Gap girls must be at the front of that line because its stores reported a sell-out of the pink Macintosh coat, especially after actress Jennifer Garner wore one hosting Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks ago. Reinforcement deliveries have arrived at stores - with the promise of spring close behind.
