Seven Four Seven takes Wintergreen

Sam Pollock's Seven Four Seven overcame a wide trip to win her third consecutive race in the Wintergreen Stakes.

Seven Four Seven, 5, trained by Bernie Flint and ridden by Jason Lumpkins, improved her overall record to 9-7-4 in 31 starts and $328,188 earnings.

Earlier, Billy Troilo joined three other Turfway riders this year to reach career milestones when he piloted Just Kiss Me Quick to victory for his 2,000th win.

LOUISIANA DERBY: Vindication, the 2-year-old champion, is out of the picture. So is Toccet, a multiple stakes winner last year. Sky Mesa, undefeated but still unraced this year, is in limbo.

That leaves the $750,000 Louisiana Derby (ESPN, 6-7 p.m.) today in the unlikely position of being the first prep race to help clear up who might be the May 3 Kentucky Derby favorite.

The 1 1/16th-mile race at the Fair Grounds brings together Kafwain from Bob Baffert's high-profile stable and undefeated Badge of Silver, the runaway 10-length winner in the Risen Star Stakes.

Last year, Repent won the Louisiana Derby but was injured after April's Illinois Derby and never made it to the Kentucky Derby.

• Saturday, Lady Tak remained unbeaten with a 3 1/2-length victory over Atlantic Ocean in the $350,000 Fair Grounds Oaks.
