Woman in critical condition after crash



A 36-year-old Cincinnati woman was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on Ohio 32 in Anderson Township.

Carolyn Hodge was in critical condition at University Hospital late Monday following the 4:47 p.m. crash, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said.

Hodge was driving a 1989 Ford Probe west on Ohio 32 at Hickory Creek Drive when she lost control, went left of center and struck an eastbound 1991 Nissan pickup truck operated by Harry Tolliver, 28, of Cincinnati. After the impact, Tolliver's truck was forced off the right side of the roadway and Hodge's vehicle was struck by an eastbound 1989 Buick Regal operated by Karen Lancaster, 34, of Cincinnati.

Tolliver was in stable condition late Monday at University Hospital. Lancaster was treated at Mercy Hospital-Anderson and released. Hodge and Tolliver were not wearing safety restraint devices. Lancaster was wearing a safety restraint device.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office traffic safety unit.
