The fashion designer she imagined becoming in her seventh-grade dreams transformed in reality to an office-space designer for Corporate Express in Sharonville, but Heather Vanzant, 28, of Pleasant Ridge still has a penchant for nice clothes.
"She is the personal shopper for everyone's special events," reads the nomination letter, which also describes the Eastern Kentucky University grad as "chic but classic."
Describe your style: Simple with clean lines.
You can be found shopping at: Banana Republic, Gap and the Limited. I don't always buy, but I probably shop at least once a week.
Earliest fashion memory: I've always liked clothes. In the seventh grade I went through a phase where I wanted to be a fashion designer, so that's when I started to think about what I wanted to wear.
You are never without: Black boots in the winter, because I wear a lot of dark colors, and sandals in the summer.
Your biggest splurge: In Las Vegas, I bought myself a pink sequined shirt I can only wear in the hot summertime, but I looked at it a lot and decided to go for it.
You don't mind spending a bit more on: Nice shoes because you get a lot of wear out of them.
You can never have enough: Shoes. I loves shoes. I have about 40 pairs, but I'm no Imelda Marcos (former Philippines first lady who reputedly had over 1,000 pairs) yet.
Fashion pet peeve: When people wear seasonally inappropriate clothes like shorts when it's cold out or white linen in winter.
If you had big bucks you'd buy: A designer gown, not that I'd ever wear it or have anywhere to wear it, but it would be fun.
