Bright blowing through third CD

In 2002, saxophonist Robby Bright took his smooth jazz sound nationwide, playing alto and soprano sax for TV and radio commercials produced by director Spike Lee's ad agency for State Farm Insurance.

Mr. Bright, 28, is now finishing final editing of a performance video for cable's BET Jazz channel that's expected to air later this year.

This could be a very big year for him, as he's also working on his third album, and has been speaking with several record labels regarding its release. As far as live performances, he may play a Valentine's Day smooth-jazz concert with some other local musicians, but details are still being worked out.
