Suspect in assault on police officer turns self in

A Price Hill man who allegedly hit a Delhi Township police officer over the head with a brick turned himself in to police late Thursday, police said. Emmett Pringle, 19, of the 400 block of Crestline Avenue is charged with felonious assault on a police officer.

Delhi Detective James Wergers was hit while looking for David Blackmon, 20, on Monday in Price Hill. Detective Wergers was treated at University Hospital and released.

Mr. Blackmon admitted to breaking into Chief Tom Streicher's apartment Dec. 20, police said.
