The undercover Cincinnati police officer assaulted by several people and stabbed early Friday was released from University Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
Further details on the 10-year police veteran's condition weren't available Sunday.
The officer, a member of an elite regional drug squad, was attacked after leaving the gym at the Fraternal Order of Police lodge just after midnight and was headed to meet his partner.
Homicide investigators are looking for three men in the incident, which occurred a block south of the FOP hall on Central Parkway. They were driving either a black Ford Expedition or Lincoln Navigator with tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
