Retired priest arrested on sex charges
The Associated Press
LEITCHFIELD, Ky. - A retired Roman Catholic priest was arrested Wednesday on charges he engaged in sex with two boys nearly 30 years ago.
The Rev. James Hargadon was indicted Tuesday by a Grayson County grand jury on two felony counts of indecent or immoral practices with another, said Kentucky State Police.
Father Hargadon, 74, of Louisville, surrendered to state police in Elizabethtown and was taken to the Grayson County Detention Center. He was released after posting $5,000 bond, a jail official said.
The indictment contends that Hargadon engaged in oral sex with two boys in 1974, state police said.
