Ex-professor gets 88 years for child porn

The Associated Press

MARIETTA, Ohio - A former Marietta College professor was sentenced Thursday to 88 years and four months in prison on child pornography convictions.

Eugene Robert Anderson, 52, of Parkersburg, W.Va., was convicted Aug. 23 of 108 charges including child pornography, obscenity and pandering prostitution involving minors and adults.

The defense argued that co-defendant Robert Lynn Sandford - who died during the investigation - was responsible for more than 40,000 pornographic images stored on Mr. Anderson's home and work computers.

Most of the charges against Mr. Anderson involved Internet chats that prosecutors said he had with young boys. Prosecutors said he asked the boys to send nude photos.
